Asus Ee PC 900 has been around for a while, but still it remains a very popular laptop. I would say it was a first real netbook from Asus. First models with 7” display were more like a toy… Actually Ee PC 900 is a slight tweak of the original Eee PC, same body was used, but speakers were moved to a better place (bottom of the laptop) and the space was filled with extra inches of display.

I personally owned Eee PC 900 for several months and I liked everything about it except the body plastic, keyboard was pretty small for me too, but I could live with it, since I did not use my Ee PC for extensive typing.

Original Ee 900 is probably not sold anylonger, but it is not worth spending money anyways. You can get used Asus Eee PC 900HA at Amazon, slightly improved version. It has great features for its price!

The good: Sleek, attractive design; lower price; amazing battery.

The bad: Thicker and heavier than the previous model; still near the upper end of the Netbook price range.

The bottom line: Asus hits nearly all the marks in the 1005HA, the latest version of its iconic Eee PC, highlighted by a 6-hour-plus battery life.

The Asus Eee PC 1005HA netbook features an excellent balance of size and battery life. At a glance, the netbook looks virtually identical to the Eee PC 1008HA, but it’s both thicker and heavier. The added depth gives the 1005HA room for a full sized VGA port, and a high capacity removable battery, both of which are missing from the 1008HA. Yet the Eee PC 1005HA is still thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Eee PC 1000HE which Asus will soon phase out.

An attractive design, comfortable keyboard with appropriately placed keys, and almost nine hours of runtime make the ASUS’ Eee PC 1005HA the most well rounded Eee PC to date. And at $389, it’s also one of the most affordable netbooks with its feature set. Those lusting after a thinner netbook will be better suited by the Eee PC 1008HA, but will have to pay $40 more and expect three hours’ less battery life. Though we still prefer the $399 Toshiba mini NB205’s more premium build and island–style keyboard, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA is a very close second.

Asus promised to release Eee Keyboard a while ago, but why wait if you can do one yourself… at least some Russians can… All they need is a spare Eee PC 900, Sven Multimedia EL 4002 keyboard and some enthusiasm.

Whole process is documented on eee-pc.ru forum. Its in Russian, but you can guess what’s going on by looking at the pictures though.

Engadget has published review of Asus Eee PC T91. Overall, editors seem to be not very happy with T91. Applications are nice and fun but not very useful. Also touchscreen is not that good (navigation is slow at times and touches do not always get recognized). Price is a little high too. Currently Eee PC T91 is selling for $499. The price is ok for a tablet PC with real keyboard, but pretty high for a standart netbook.

Asus Eee PC 1002HA made it to Laptopmag again. This time it is fully functional module, so we can take a look not only at Eee PC 1002HA design but its performance as well.

Review of Eee PC 1002HA can be summarized in just one sentence: This replacement for the popular Eee PC 1000H is slimmer and definitely more attractive, but its battery life could be better.

Although Laptopmag praises 1002HA looks, they recommend Samsung NC10 because it offers a better keyboard and much longer endurance for the same price.

Laptopmag got its hand over the prereleased Asus Eee PC 1002HA and writes short review, comparing Eee PC1002HA to Eee PC S101 and 1000H.

Design of 1002HA resembles S101. 1002HA is thinner than 1000H, yet its keyboard is fully inherited from Eee PC 1000H, even the weird left-Shift which is positioned above the Up arrow key. Trackpad is from S101.

Eee PC 1002HA configuration is exactly the same as Eee PC 1000H: 1.6GZ Atom, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive and preinstalled Vista Windows XP Home. No details on battery yet, however Asus says it will hold up to 5 hours. Not bad, we say.

Eee PC 1002HA will be on sale in US from beginning of December and will cost $499.

Did you know that Eee PC can be used as an external display for PSP? Well, now you know. Actually any PC or laptop can be used for the same purpose as long as it runs Windows and RemoteJoyLite. However I doubt you will be carrying around something heavier than Eee PC, if you have one.

PSP hooks up to Eee PC via USB. Very simple, no catches. Just keep in mind that neither Sony nor Asus support this kind of tweaking.

Looks like Europe will be getting Asus Eee PC 901 with extended 8700mAh Battery which will provide up to 7 hrs of operation time. This will be a necessary upgrade since new Asus Eee PC 901 will be provided with integrated 3G modem.

New Asus Eee PC 901 will have a single 16Gb SSD, compared to the previous 16Gb being split into two cards.
