Acer Aspire One Windows XP/Vista Drivers

Wonder where to get Windows XP/Vista drivers for your Acer Aspire One? Check out the official Acer driver repository. To download appropriate drivers you have to select Notebooks and then find Aspire One in the list. Choose your model… You will be given a link for driver download, as well as to BIOS updates, patches, applications and docs.

Update: Acers changed their Drivers and Downloads page, so now to get to drivers for Acer Aspire One you have to select Netbooks.

Once you land on Aspire One drivers page you can choose drivers for Windows XP or Windows Vista using Operating System drop down list. Note that for some models of Aspire One only drivers for Windows XP are provided.

There might be some alternative sources of drivers for Windows around, however we highly recommend using drivers from official repository. Drivers downloaded from the third party web sites can cause harm to your notebook.

However it succeeds because, for most people, that’s not what a netbook needs to be.

Samsung NC10 Review in Laptopmag.com

Laptopmag.com has a Samsung NC10 review and writes: The Samsung NC10 has joined the ranks of 10-inch netbooks—including the Eee PC 1000H, MSI Wind, and Lenovo IdeaPad S10—and it beats them all. The $499 NC10 may have the same cookie-cutter specs as its competitors, including a 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, and Windows XP, but its spacious, well-positioned keyboard and more than 6 hours of battery life make this system our favorite 10-inch netbook yet.

msi wind

T3 has MSI Wind review and writes: Small but perfectly formed – the netbook that is designed to impress on the move. It’d be too easy to say the Wind is an Eee PC with a different badge. After all, it’s white, plastic looking and follows the same design ethic. However, get beyond the looks and it’s a great machine in its own right…
